It is perfectly legal to have any subscription. Getting a Foreign TV subscription may be dificult and some methods may be illegal. Sky UK / Ireland subs in France are not for sale direct, nor are Canal+ French subscriptions in Ireland.

The best method is to take out the correction subscripton in the Geographic Region where it is offered.
